1914-15 Star Trio to 6606 Pte. G.W. Adams of the Northumberland Fusiliers W.I.A. 10.10.1915

Pte. George W. Adams landed in France with his Regiment the 13th Battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers on the 9th September 1915. The 13th Battalion was placed in the 62nd Brigade of the 21st Division. Pte. Adams first saw action at Ypres in 1915 followed by the Battle of Loos, where he was severely wounded on 10th October 1915. The 13th Battalion sustained 396 casualties including 17 officers during the Battle of Loos.

Later George Adams joined the Machine Gun Corps, where his service number changed to 9549.

The medal group is sold with a copy of his MIC .
