WWI British War and Victory Pair to 526565 Pte. A. Forsyth of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders

Alexander Forsyth served in the 2nd Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and fought in several heavy actions on the Somme in 1916, including the attack on High Wood on the 18th August. On this occasion, the Argylls used flamethrowers for the first time. The Regiment also took part in theBattle of Arras and the Third Battle of Ypres, 1917. They were heavily engaged at Meteren during the German March offensive of 1918 and later at Villars Guislain on the 23rd of September, 1918.
The medal pair is sold with a copy of the MIC.
