9th Century Bronze Viking Razor Handle
This is a very impressive bronze Viking flat handle for a razor. The handle itself is triangular in form leading to a swan necked grip, which terminates in a 3-dimensional wolf's head. The wolf's head finial is extremely well defined and executed and shows its mane, ears, eyes and snout most clearly.
This is a rare British find with an excellent patina. The razor handle measures approximately 65 mm in length and 55 cmm in width.
