9th Century Zoomorphic Viking Stirrup Terminal SOLD
This is a very rare piece, as it depicts the head and beak of a raven, rather than the more common wolf's head style of terminal. The raven head terminal is hollow on the underside in order to house the lower edge of the iron stirrup.
This is a very unusual piece of Viking bronze with a good patina. It measures 37 mm in length and 10 mm in width.
