War Merit Cross with Swords Second Class in Bronze

The War Merit Cross with Swords in bronze (kriegsverdienstkreuz-KVK2 was instittuted in October 1939. It was awarded for military service, which included the planning of military operations or for actual bravery under hazardous conditions.
The KVK2 consists of a bronze coloured Maltese cross with a stippled finish to the arms. On the centre obverse is a mobile swastika surrounded by an oakleaf wreath, whilst on the reverse a wreath of oakleaves surround the year 1939.
The medal is sold with its original ribbon.
