Original WWII Italian M 33 Helmet    SOLD

This original period Italian M 33 helmet is complete with its original leather helmet liner. The helmet retains its original dark green paint with 75% of its frontal stencil decal remaining. The leather liner is worn and slightly torn in places, but is in good supple condition and has the size 58 perforated on the headband. On the inner side of the leather headband the year of manufacture 1940 is stencilled in ink. on the inside of the helmet one of the metal fixing plates on either side is broken, but the remaining plates are solid and therefore the liner is securely fixed. On the inside rim the helmet is impressed with M 33. The paintwork is very good and free from any dents or deep scratches.

Apart from the missing chin strap, this M 13 helmet is of outstanding quality and is a rare find in this condition.
