Early Wehrpass (dated 28/04/36) to Willi Doll, Lieutenant 1st Cl. Motorized Infantry, Killed in Action SOLD
Willi Doll was entitled to the Iron Cross 2nd Class and Iron Cross 1st Class.
After Officer's training he served Aug.38 - June 41 with Inf. Rgt. (mot.)15 of the 29.Inf.Div.(mot.). From Sept.39, he was active in Poland after which, the unit was transferred to the West, preparing for the May 1940 campaign against Luxembourg and France (Dunkirk, Rethel, Belfort)
From July 40 - Feb.41, the Div. was based in Eastern France after which it was withdrawn to Germany preparing for the June 41 campaign against Russia.
Lieutenant Doll was in action at Minsk and Smolensk where he was injured by shrapnel in the right arm on 27/06/41.
He was killed in action on 30/06/41 near Zelwa when acting as the company CO. of 7./Inf.Rgt.15(mot.).
