This Privacy Policy outlines how and when I collect, use or share a customer’s personal details when they purchase an item from Constantius Historical Artefacts, or contact me to use my services. This policy does not apply to any third parties you might access through Constantius, such as Paypal to complete your purchase, which I do not control or own.
To complete an order I need to collect personal data such as email address, name, home address, telephone number and order details. These are stored on the secure server, which hosts the Constantius website and enable the customer to access an account and make further purchases more easily. When you look at the store the website automatically collects your computer’s IP address, which helps me to find out where browsers are based and what they are looking for. The website will also track the pages you visit through Google Analytics to provide me with information so that I can provide a better customer service.

I rely on legal bases to collect, use and share personal information, such as;

  • in fulfilment of an order and providing customer service.
  • to comply with legal commitments such as tax law.
  • for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if they do not over ride yours such as providing a service and improvement of customer service.

I share personal information only when necessary to fulfil an order obligation. I share with trusted third parties such as PayPal and Banks but only to the extent of receiving payment and with Royal Mail, and its counterpart services in other countries, but only to the extent of delivering an order. I share with the trusted IT consultants and technicians, who make the running of the website possible. Any of these third parties respect your personal information and treat it in accordance with the law and never use it for their own purposes.

I may collect, use or share personal data when in good faith it is deemed necessary for complying with legal obligations.

I keep personal information for only as long as necessary to complete my obligations and to comply with legal requirements, such as resolving disputes and fulfilling agreements. Personal data is generally kept for 4 years.
