A rare 1st/2nd Century bronze mount in the form of an eagle, which was possibly for a helmet.It still retains its fixing mounts and measures 40 mm in length. The eagle has folded wings and its head is inclined to the right. The eyes are engraved in the form of a ring and dot and the feathers are depicted using an incised chevron design.
