The mounted officer appears to be standing in a farm yard with rustic buildings behind. He wears his service uniform and a shirmutze. The photograph appears to have been taken in the Eastern Theatre of the war, as a brief message on the reverse reads Wahjinki, April 1916.
The postcard is in very good condition apart from two pin holes, one in the upper right corner and one in the lower left corner.
