A WWI real photo postcard depicting three uniformed German soldiers wearing Feldmutze and carrying rifles with bayonets attached, belonging to the 4th Field Company 2nd Pioneer Battalion 16. They are guarding a building in the town of Thiaucourt. To the left of the soldiers there is also a German officer with a horse drawn supply cart. The title on the postcard reads "Thiaucourt Burgermesterei u. Wachtlokal.
Official stamps on the rear of the postcard show the troops were also part of the 8th Ersatz Division and the postcard is dated 17.04.1915.
