The obverse of the bulla depicts the stylised heads of St Peter and St Paul with the words SPASPE in raised lettering above their heads. The space in between the heads shows a long cross, whilst the heads of each saint are encircled with beading. There is damage to the face on the left of St Paul, but St Peter is well defined. The reverse of the bulla reads GRE GORIUS PPVIIII. The RI of GORIUS is worn away.
This is an impressive early bulla, which was found in Yorkshire.
The bulla measures 4cms in diameter.
