This retainer's badge depicts a horse's head with bridle mounted on a plinth. The badge is quite detailed and shows both reins and the wavy lines of the mane. The plinth is decorated with a row of lozenges. At the back of the badge there are four indents, which may have held fixing points.
The badge has a good brown patina and was discovered in Scotland.
It is in very good condition and measures 4 cm in length and 3.5 cm in width.
